New kit and some club success

After another maximum score at the Camera Club second competition and reasonable performance at the third competition I am hoping that my style is starting to develop and is being understood.

I am however making little progress with “salon” photography and one of my resolves is to try and create images with more impact as they need to register in the few seconds that the images are viewed rather than the longer time spent by club judges. I feel my main concentration in 2014 will be on landscape photography and to that end I have bought a Lee big stopper filter and a ridiculously expensive tilt shift lens. A photograph is not created of course by the equipment but by the artistic interpretation of the photographer but I am hoping my new acquisitions will give me a spur in the right direction. For anyone reading this blog can I say thank you and wish them a Happy 2014.
